YES I'm still alive. Slaving my summer away at freddy's as usual. My weekends are too short and my weekdays too long... Today we had someone call in for our hours of operations. Now, this kind of request is not unusual; people needs their meds, they want to know when we are open so they can pick up the meds, TOTALLY understandable.
But the call came in around 6 pm, and it went something like this:
"thank you for calling your fred meyer pharmacy, can I help you?"
"yeah I need to know when you guys are open til."
"oh sure, we're open til 9"
"wait, 9 am or 9 pm?"
"9 pm you freaking idiot are you f-ing kidding me? you must be f-ing retarded"
ok the last line didn't exactly go like that, but that would've been much more satisfactory. I mean, SERIOUSLY? COME ON! the more I work in a pharmacy, the more I realize that for SOME people, not all the lights are on upstairs. There was another incident where the guy was complaining that we didn't give him enough medicine *think annoying asian guy who speaks in annoying asian accent*, and we were on the phone with him for like 15 mins until I helped him realize that he was feeding his father-in-law THREE TIMES the doses he should've been getting, because he read "TBSP" and thought that stood for "teaspoon" Seriously, there is no B in "teaspoon" Which acronym have you EVER read that had a letter that wasn't in the actual word?
He then proceeded to ask if he can have some more, to which i replied, "no, I think at this point in time it would be a good idea to make an appointment with your doctor" [read: you really should find out what kind of damage you did to your elderly father-in-law before you give him anything else] I feel bad for the old guy :(
welp, at least I'm going to japan. whew. I wish that we didn't really had an itinerary, so that we can just chill and cruise around japan, but I guess this way we get to hit the hot spots. It'll be a nice break. I'll be missing out on some dough to be made, but it'll be a nice break.
then I come back and get ready for school in one and a half days. oh joy. I think I'll especially enjoy adjusting from the jet lag. yep yep.
